I had bought a shield ooth from reptileman a few weeks ago and as of just recently mold began to appear on the zipper part of the ooth and been doing my best to brush off the mold lightly with a toothbrush so not to damage the ooth and was wondering if soaking the brush in soap or vinegar and then brushing it over the mold spots would cause the ooth any harm or would it damage it?

Just wipe it off and reduce the humidity. Do not use any chemicals. You must really have had it humid to have mold form. I don't think I have ever had an ooth mold.

As Rick said, just use water with a washcloth... nothing else. Whatever enclosure you have the ooth in apparently isn't getting enough ventilation for the ooth to dry between mistings. It should not be constantly kept wet or damp.

well had used the same enclosure for smaller ooths using q 3 gallon tank and paper towel on the bottom inside and fake plants and just misted the plants and the sides of the tank but taken the fake plants out and just with spraying the sides like 32 oz containers but had a very good hatch rate with smaller ooths using fake plants and spraying the fake plants and stuff but one size does not fit all it seems!
