I have currently 13 Hierodula nymphs, and most of them recently molted to L5. two of them are still half the size of the others, and I don't recall when they last molted. They did it while they were still sharing one enclosure, but I separated them 3 weeks ago. No molt during that time until now. I try to keep humidity relatively high (difficult in a heated room during the winter), spraying twice a day. One is still eating and looking good, the other does not eat and gets thinner now (not less active though). Can I do anything more, or is it just the way of things these 2 will die because they can't get out of their skins?

I know I have the other 11, but I'm concerned still, because these are the first mantids I raised.

I had a similiar experience with a lineola, had a bad molt at 7th instar .I was crushed, but the same night i had several chinese molt to L5.I also just watched my last ghost nymp molt to 3rd instar which makes 7 altogether. So I'm grateful for what goes well.I was just really fond of the lineola and plan to get some more.I fairly new too so sometimes I feel like I had failed.

One of the bigger ones (the only brown one), a male, molted to L6 this morning. I was very happy he managed fine. His once disfigured forearm keeps getting more normal at each molt, maybe it's fixed when he becomes adult.

But my 2 small ones haven't molted for weeks. That's what I am worrying about: can I do anything except keep humidity steady? The smallest one has still fruitflies (although the last ones I have), he seems afraid of small crickets. The others are big enough to eat small locusts, but that one is still about 2,5 cm, while the others are 5 -6 cm. maybe this sounds all stupid to you, but I am still new to mantids although I have read all books I could get about them. And I always fear I might do something wrong in management.
