Molting?

How do you know when a mantis is molting? Just a minute ago it started acting weird. It was hanging and then the cricket made it fall. Afterwards it started going berzerk and clawing everything in sight and then now it dropped & looks like it's having a seizure. Is it ok to put it out in the sun?

My orchid mantis did that one time, but she was an adult. I don't know what that's all about, but it's not necessarily related to molting. They do weird things that we just can't quite fully explain.

Yeah, really fast. It's trying to molt. Unless you want to search for another mantis.
