Monty and Esme

Hi Mantid Gang, just an update, little Esme the orchid Hymenopus and Rudeboy Monty the Hierodula majuscula are doing really well, Esmeralda looks like shes going to molt again soon, slight pink flush and looks like wings are forming. Monty seems to enjoy being handled and they both look healthy and have been eating well. 24-7 classical fm on permanent. It would be good to get a male adult Orchid in a while and try and mate her but my goal is to give them both a full and happy life and to die of old age. Im Getting 'keeping the praying Mantis' by Orin Mcmonigle and so Ill research more before trying the mating thing. Thanks people

I see I can buy it via a dutch website too (the book) Think I should read it too. It is alwas cool to learn more about our favorite insects.

Yeah both books 'Keeping the Praying Mantis' and 'Praying Mantids, Keeping Aliens' Orin Mcmonigle are the definitive text on the subject by all accounts cant wait to read them. Amazon have it although as Grace Face said there quite expensive. Theres some pictures on my profile of my 2 aliens. Peace and Love out !
