Many of the spirobolids and spirostreptids produce egg capsules. Some are triangular but most are egg shaped or perfect spheres. These are from an uncommon species and have a smooth 'stalk' and upper part with large indents that make it look like a morel mushroom fruiting body or an ugly ice cream cone. The scultpturing is less obvious in a photo because the flash removes shadow and apparent depth. Anyone ever seen this or have a guess on the genus?
