hi everyone,

I just got a few ghosts from Brian.

top notch packing and shipping, and as always a pleasure to deal with.

they are still getting used to the new tub and are quite active. no signs of eating but I'm sure that will change soon.

camera is just a canon G9 point and shoot so pardon the poor video and photo.

are they communal? They look very cool! tiny though.

how many inches will they get up to?
They are supposed to be communal, but I wouldn't trust any mantid. They get up to 2 1/2 - 3 inches I believe.

I have 2 sexed pairs of L4-L5 Ghosties coming, should get here tomorrow, I can't wait!

Hi Ricardo,

I am going to grow up about half of them communaly, even as adults. the rest I'm safeguarding them in their own container.

as stated, they are the size of a two week old cricket right now. but shortly they will become 2 1/2" to 3".

they have been given their first misting and I even saw one drink. still no signs of eating but I'm not standing over them and watching like a hawk. I'm sure I missed it.

If you plan on keeping them communal, split up the sexes for a less chance of cannibalism. Females sometimes eat the males.

Great pics

I love these little ones to. At the moment I have around 50-60 L1 and L2 nimfs, 8 ooths and there parents.

yes, this species is a stinker:lol: . When u open their containers, they come out and u cannot get them back in, they just sway and run around and yaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, u babies get back in there! :(
