This is one of my cage I just made, still in progress :)

Nice enclosure! You must be handy with a drill. How big is it (in ccs)?

Congratulations! You are a member of two forum name groups, the Becky group and the Japanese group, with Kamakiri.

I mentioned to my smart-assed grandaughter Sunny, that your name means "bliss," and she told me, "no, not really, it means 'daughter of Sachi.'" Unless you disagree, I'll have to take her word for it!

Thanks everyone

nice enclosure, what mantis is that? i think i have an L2 of that same breed!
I will post the other enclosure on the enclosure part of the forum later today, it is similar but a bit bigger.

These are I think Chinese Praying Mantis

Is it ok that one of them (the brown one) looks a bit dry, does that mean that he is going to molt. The breeder said they would molt very soon now.

Haha thanks, fun to be member of two forum groups. I was told that Sachiko means happiness and child :) but I am no expert

I used a knife to cut out the holes, just used a thingy to make a perfect circle and used a little knife (the one you can bake off the end to have a new "blade" to slowly cut it. Not sure how many cc it is but I will have the size ready on the enclosure part of the forum later :)

Cought two flies at work, one literally flew in my face and i then grabbed it with my hand, the other was in the window.

I put them in the freezer to let them sleep a little like people do with fruitflies. Didn´t know how long so I checked after a short while and they were asleep.

Then I put them in the jars of the 2 skinnier mantises. The little fly woke up straight away and got eaten within one second of rolling of her back to her feet.

The other one never woke up, even though it was bigger than the other. So we just took the fly up with tweezers and made it "fly" and it worked, number two hunted the fly straight away. And she/he seemed to enjoy his/her food so much, eating each leg like a little spagetti  and leaving nothing but a bit of wings.

Now I just have to catch more flies. I also have mealworms just in case I don´t have any flies.
