My first mantis

Well, I started getting interested in this hobby and I'm looking on getting my first mantis.

My question is what is the best beginner species and where can I get one?

I live in Montreal,Quebec, Canada.

Really good starter species are Chinese, ghosts, or any stagmomantis variety like a Carolina mantis. There are several breeders, if you look in the breeder section, that I'm sure would deliver to Canada or are native to Canada. Good luck finding one and raising it! You can also find care sheets for different species online or use the search tools to find what you need on here.

also you can look around your area for some as well theres maybe a few that live in canada and i think there is one just native to your country too!
