I just keep a close eye on them. Its surprisingly not that hard since they're pretty calm for the most part.

I would for sure lose my new giant asian shield mantis nymph if I took photos like that with it lol. It is such a skittish mantis, the most I have ever seen, and it is also the fastest mantis I have ever had!

Hopefully it will calm down when it's a bit older so you can take some. Some nympths are wayyy too crazy. lol
