Just found a fresh hatched nymph and have no idea where it came from. Looked more and found 8 total. They look like nothing I'm incubating or that hatched recently. I have an old Mesopteryx alata ooth laying on the shelf close by. It was laid on March 6th. Just removed it from the incubation cup last week because I gave up on it. The ooth doesn't look hatched. I remounted it so we'll see if this was just a little pre-hatch since it should have hatched many more.
So those of you who have bred Mesopteryx alata take a look and tell me if this is what they look like at hatch. The head sure looks like M.alata! I can't imagine it would hatch 3.5 months after it was laid!
