Hello

Need some help.

Need informations about pathogenetic reproduction of Acontista multicolor.

Are the nymphs from pathogenetic reproduction able to survive?

Have read in the internet that the nymphs are nearly unable to become adult.

Has someone informations about that statement?

THanks

they are able to survive and can become an adult.

But they are all females!!!!regards

The clones grow to adult and produce more clones and I think the clones could be mated by a male and produce fertile oothecae (not an ootheca with clones inside).

The 'clones' are all one gender, female, and those will produce more clones.

I don't know about A multicolor, but my M paykullii that reproduced parthenogenically were weaker than stock produced from two parents. I had a high mortality rate the first few instars, and the one I kept was born missing a leg and after three molts has not regrown. I mentioned this to Carey and she has made the same observation.
