Hello, in this year, in Lithuania are invasion of mantis. In Lithuania naturally mantis do not live, because there are to cold winter (can be up to -25 C). But in these heat summer (was about +30-+35 C), the mantis was found in some locality of Lithuania. Of course they will not outlive the winter.

So one of these "Lithuania" mantis was arrived to me.

If i good identify it, it is Mantis religiosa, the typical southern Europe species.

It is true or not?

And maybe somebody can identify these mantis sex?

If need different photo, please say, i will do it.

It's a European mantid and it's a female. If the pictures are of different mantids, then they are all females.

Female European yes. I would imagine those are surviving the winters.
