I know this is an atypical request but I am a recent Cornell University grad with a degree in entomology and I'm going to be featured on the show "Are you smarter than a 5th grader?" next weekend. The producers really want me to bring on an insect as my 'mascot' and I thought a praying mantis would be a great one to bring on, fun for the audience to look at and since their name originates from 'seer' I could play that up as them helping me get the right answer. I was wondering if any of you out there are located in the LA area and have a praying mantis that I could bring on to the show which films next weekend. I'd just need it for next Sunday. I think it would be a good opportunity too to teach about how cool/interesting they are on TV.
