I found a L5 male on the bottom of it's enclosure, legs semi folded underneath. As I was removing him he reached out with a raptorial. At a loss to do something, anything I misted him, placed him on wet paper towel, and began to pump his abdomen back and forth, he was still fighting his right side was dragging, his front leg and raptorial was completely useless. I irritated him for an hour or so then he came back to normal, sort of. He is walking fine with all legs, his right raptorial is not functioning, he holds it in normal folded position, but does not extend it or use it all. I was so freaked out, I was about to euthanize when I checked on him and he was standing up off the ground and looking around. Is this what a mantis stroke looks like? Infection? Sick fly? I did notice feces when he came back.
