New here and to keeping mantids. I've always been atracted to the natural world and usually the things that most people shun - spiders, snakes, insects etc. I'm waiting for my first nymph to arrive on 10/3. It's a Sphodromantis lineola. I don't rally have a head for scientific names  so I'll refer to it as a Giant African Mantis from here on out.
I have kept tarantulas in the past. I had 2 Mexican Red-Knees, and a Chilean Rose. Once they reached sexual maturity I donated them to a breeder to keep the hobby going. I guess I had them 8-10 years.
Looking forward to the mantids and would love to get a few Ghost nymphs next.
