:D It looks like a genus Phalaenosis or the moth orchid what kind of Phalaenosis can't tell you there are so many, don't let water set in the crown or it can rot and kill her quick. ok danny ;)

Very pretty flowering plant, Emile! ;) Those blossoms are just like the ones that came on this "lucky bamboo" plant that my hubby brought home for me a few months back... the shape, color, everything! I really like it, and all you have to do is fill up the water in the vase full of little rocks. Even I haven't killed it yet! :D Gotta tell you about this....

After about a month or 2, the branches started getting kind of ragged at the top because one of our cats (or I should say, at least one <_< ) likes to chew on them. She always knocks the vase over too and spill the rocks out. But those darn flowers kept looking so nice and pretty... I was amazed! They were perfect!

I'm kind of embarrassed, but it's too funny not to tell.... I finally took a good, long, up-close look at it and realized the bamboo plant was alive, but the flowers were fake ones they'd put on there to spruce it up I guess. All that time I thought those flowers were real.... lol.  Hey, and they still look as good as the day hubs bought it! Wish I could say the same for the bamboo. :p

You're not alone, Katt! Years ago I lived in a 3rd floor walk up in Chicago. The woman on the second floor kept a few pots with floweing plants in them. She watered them every day, but slowly each plant died, and as each one died, she'd empty the pot. The last one was the only one that had continued to bloom, and when I moved, she was still watering it fathfully, every day. I never had the heart to tell her that it was plastic! :D
