Hey everyone-- My name is Jon, I'm 24 years old (25 on the 11th!) and from Indiana. I have had a fascination with Mantids for a long time, but never had one as a pet. I'm so anxious to raise one.

this is the place to be, there is much experience shared here.

there are a few different species that are good "beginner" choices...ask around and look around. watch the forum for local members and be patient.

I have aquired all my mantids from locals with the sole exception of my male Creobroter Pictipennis "Indian Flower Mantis" which was sent to me from Ohio...I am trying to get him to go all "brown-chicken-brown-cow" with my female...
