so I think i am reading that putting a ooth that is freshly laid into the fridge or the garage if its european or chinese over the winter will or will it not do anything on slowing or postponing its development till early or late spring?

Guess what I do not want to happen is have a ooth being kept in the fridge hatch when its not even spring yet!

It has nothing to do with spring. If you were to put it in the fridge now and removed it in lets say January it would hatch 4-6 weeks after you take it out. Or if you dont' put it in the fridge at all it would hatch 4-6 weeks after being laid.
