So my little Ghost mantis (I just got her yesterday), I'm assuming she fell or something, because one of her arms isn't working. She is walking around fine, eating and so on.

So my question is, when she molts, that will all be fixed, correct?

I'm not stingy if it's not, or any of that really, just more less curious if it will repair itself when it molts.

*I'm saying she as a safe assumption it's a girl.

Generally, an injured limb should be fixed in one molt, though sometimes an additional molt or two is needed if the injury is severe or the mantis is unable to regenerate due to whatever other reason. It sounds like your ghost still is young and has several more molts to go, which should be fine. One of my shields mismolted from L3 to L4, and his back legs were completely twisted and useless. Just a few days ago, he molted again to L4 to L5, and luckily he has now fixed himself in just one molt and is completely normal again.

Just a side note - an injury to the raptorial (front arm) is more serious than an injury to a leg, because the mantis needs its front arms to hunt and feed. But it is good to hear she is eating. If she ever has trouble with her food, you can always hand feed her.

Yes it is one of her raptorials, but she's still young like you've said. But it's just one arm and I'm personally alright with hand feeding my mantids if they need it! She can grasp with her other arm, but, still a baby.

Thanks love!
