Hi,

Was wondering what some ideas are for getting nutrients into inverts diets. I have fruit loving inverts like Dynastes, Capreolus, Eleodes, isopods, true insects, millipedes and the such. I give them apples but am worried about there not being enough nutrients and protein in it.

Hmm... that is interesting. I didn't know they would like mushrooms.

I am going to try avocados mixed with brown sugar, peaches, dog food, cuttlebones, bananas, oats, carrots, and finally the apples.

Should be good enough shouldn't it?

I am also thinking of trying to blend the fruits up and mix in some cricket gut load or vitamin supplements for reptiles. WOuld that help the insects any?

I will try giving them some :)

I don't know if the rest of my inverts would like it though. The Eleodes and Z. morio might take it.

I got apples, avocados, peaches, carrots, figs, raisins, cuttlebone, fish flakes, hermit crab pellets, cat food, and oats so far.

The cat food has 34% protein, the hermit crab food has 45% protein, and the fish food is high in a bunch of nutrients including protein.
