my L5 mantid, Bella, molted a few days ago. Before the molt she appeared fine, eating normally, ect. after the molt, she now will occasionally hold up her farthest right leg(possibly a molting complication), she also has little intrest in food, appears to be turning a darker green, and is unusually still and does not move for long periods of time untill disturbed.I was planning on breeding her with my new male and wondered if this is a safe action? I have no clue what has caused her to act this way? Is there any way i can save her? Should i keep her away from my other mantid?

Its fairly common for a mantid to change color after a molt. I have had Chinese mantids change from green to yellow and from orange to brown. I have also had a Carolina mantis change from green to gray and a ghost mantis that changed from brown to green.

well, today i took her to an outdoor cage and when i took her back in this evening she seemed just fine. Was it getting more sunlight that made this dramatic change in behavior, and apparently , health?

I dont know about the sunlight but the fresh air could have helped. Then again it may have just been the passing of time. I did have a chinese mantis who seemed to have a leg stuck up after a molt kind of like it was froze mid-step, however after a day or so the leg seemed fine.
