Hello. I'm a newb. I just suddenly have a major fascination with these guys. My first mantid will be a Blepharopsis mendica. I'm super excited. I'm preparing the habitat and trying to decide on a name and watching YouTube videos of other people's mantids being cute. I think my husband thinks I'm nuts.. Anyone else have totally creeped out family?

I welcome name suggestions for the little devil. :devil:

Welcome! I can understand the family wonkyness. My fiance has arachnophobia so allowing a house with mantids (even if it's contained into my office/man cave) and live feeders is a brave endeavor for her!

B. mendica is a species from the middle east and northern Africa, maybe you can name it accordingly?
