i think my male creobroter gemmatus i used to breed my females a week or so ago might be suffering from old age but not sure because around midnight he seemed to look like he was frozen in place on a stick and would kind of twitch a little then move a little and kept doing this so i left him in his enclosore. This morning his eyes still were red in color and he hardly moves at all or moves slowly if anything and he does not respond to being picked up or moved around he seems to respond a little if water is sprayed on him but he has no movement at all otherwise. Not sure how old he is because this mantis i got from yen a month or so ago. Maybe little more and so not entirely sure but i think his time is short though and he is now looking like he has the hiccups if that is even possible in insects and was wondering if anyone else had this happen to them with any of their mantids and does this mean its going to die maybe?

well i was hoping maybe to do another mating of my 2 females with him again after their next ooth laying but i guess he has lived his purpose and maybe will just feed him to a female or let him die in peace!Wish he could live longer like maybe a few more months but i guess with this species males got a short life span but being this is the first time i had this species to begin with probably is normal!
