I actually noticed that one nymph was making it's way out of an ooth yesterday, I put the ooth upstairs in my mantid room because it's warmer in there.
They were downstairs just for a few days because that's where I glue ooths, and I recently glued them to the lid, I received them 4 days ago.
Anyways, I put them upstairs. I have 4 L1 nymphs that are black, and walking about. But, the majority have remained in that larvae stage, they have yet to dry and darken in color and spread their legs and walk etc.
Honestly, I didn't have any aspen fiber in the deli cup, most of the larvae looking nymphs are still on the bottom of the deli cup. It's a 32 ounce cup.
I put some aspen fiber in for the other larvae, one of them is hanging out of the ooth, and as I was putting the aspen fiber in, a group of 4 nymphs that were hanging from the ooth, fell out. They're stuck to the aspen fiber, just chillen there.
Question is, how fragile are these tiny looking things? Looks like they have NO protection for a fall, and these don't appear to be moving as much as they were.
What could have gone wrong? I misted the ooth once after I noticed ONE was emerging, that was yesterday...
I have more ooths of them so I am just hoping I get a good count to grow up so I can breed and get some ooths myself. Any help, advice is much appreciated, thanks in advance you guys.
