I got a chinese mantid ooth for free at a reptile show a while ago. 2 weeks ago, 5 or 6 babies popped up in the container. It's been 2 weeks and I haven't seen anymore. There are a few little strings dangling from the ooth. Are there anymore coming?

That's a shame. Well, at least you have the elite few that roughed the conditions that killed the others. You should call them are the Spartans from China... or not ;)

2% hatch rate is better than a dud of an ooth. Good luck with them.

P.S. you can probably chuck the ooth out now.

One of them died, however, two of them have molted. :)

I'm not gonna put them into individual containers until they're around L3, seeing as I can put dozens of fruit flies in the container they're in for an unlimited smorgasbord.

That's they way :) They're voracious little buggers & notorious cannibals so keep the flies coming

Sorry for your loss
