im new to raising ooths and mantids perio, started last fall. well my ghost mantid has laid two ooths, one march 5th, my bday! and the other late last night.

i am curious how do i take care of them, and ensure they hatch?

unless she had mated with a male the ooths will be infertile and nothing will hatch out if they are!

yes she was mated, he actually mated with her around 4 times, well at least i caught him connected 4 times. the day i was going to remove him from her enclosure she must have got tired of him and ate him.

but as of right now, i have both of the ooths in a large deli cup, with a lid w/ holes, paper towel on the bottom and i sprayed the towel. i made sure to remove the ooths and not get them wet. Now i am keeping them in my room which stays anywhere from 68-82 dagrees. my garage is more like 55-65 dagrees, which should i store them as well? als, how long should i expect them to hatch?

You did good then, keep them in the warm part of the room and mist them (not just the towell) three times a week, they will hatch within 6 weeks after laying. How exciting, I love the ghosts, pm me if u have to many ooths, I need some. If you can keep them above 72F that would be best for them and remember in the wild, they would get the rain so don't be afraid to get them wet.
