I've set up the incubation container like I do for my other ooths, and I already did a forum search for the methods other people use. As this is the first time I'm working with an orchid ooth, so I hope I don't do anything wrong. Feel free to share any tips or tricks specific to orchid ooths.
The ooth is glued on a stick to a wire mesh lid, placed over a 32oz plastic deli cup. I have damp paper towels at the bottom. I spray the container daily, without wetting the ooth, of course. My room temp is 80F. Humidity is 55% in my home, definitely higher inside the container.
I plan to add some raffia or excelsior as the hatching time nears (don't want to add it right now, it's just going to sit there and risk growing mold).
Any suggestions are welcome!
