A couple of days ago I noticed one of my Chinese females had started to make her first ooth, but soon after she started, she stopped. It gets pretty noisy and chaotic around my house sometimes, so I thought that all the commotion must have disturbed her or something. So I moved her enclosure into another room where she could get some peace and quiet. It's been about two days now and she still hasn't attempted to make an ooth again. Is this normal, or could it be an indication that there is something wrong with her?

sometimes they will do that, mine have a few times, an Linolea has done that a few times and the last one she had was perfect. Now the Orchid I had laid about 5 real tiny things and one day she just blew out a biggum! And since then she has had none. So it is hard to tell, but she will probably lay again, just wait is all u can do now.

my gongy laid an ooth that couldnt have but one baby in it lol, then soon after made a normal sized one and another normal sized one. It may not be noise either, maybe its the temp? i heard they stop what there doing if theres a drastic change in temps, whether cold or hot. Might want to check and see if she was infront of the Vents or a window poped open or some junk. Never know.

Yeah, I guess all I can do is wait to see what happens, but it is really good to know that there is still hope for a normal ooth. Thanks for your responses guys.

Happens sometimes. I've had them make three small ones before.

This is a late update- She finally laid an ooth about a week ago. I was starting to doubt that she ever would because she is getting kind of old, but she did! :D It's kind of long and oddly shaped for a Chinese ooth but normal sized, and she was mated so it should be fertile. Yay!
