Could anyone enlighten me on where orchid mantids tend to lay their ooths. Whats the best thing to provide them in their enclosure, which you can remove so that they don't lay on the roof for example?

THere is no particular place where orchid mantis preferred to lay an ooth. It could be on the top of the net, side of the container or at the bottom. THe ooth is not difficult to remove and the orchid ootheca are pretty solid. I am using towel paper on the side of the container and net covering the top. For easy remover, you could use netting on all sides of container so when she lay an ooth you can just remove the net together with the ooth. Here are one of my female laying ooth on the side of the container, although i was hoping that she lay it on the towel paper.
