so, this is my story about what happened last night..

LAST NIGHT

i was feeding my orchids; one had its meal & was doing his thing to the left side of me.

as i was misting the enclosure (see through solo cup), i was looking at the other orchid.

the distance between them was about a 10 to 12 inches away..

i put the spray bottle down & held the enclosure in my left hand, i used my right hand to feed the other orchid.

as i did that, i put the enclosure down & accidentally smashed the orchid to my left..

i picked the cup up as soon as i heard a crunch, i looked to my left & saw him laying flat & facing away from the meal.

he was still cleaning his raptors, when he tried walking; he was really shaky & his front leg (middle leg) did not move at all.

the back leg overstepped the injured leg & when you see him walking, you see him dragging the injured leg.

i checked the underside of him to see if i did any further damage to him, also, if i opened anything. no liquid, no guts.

i put him away for the night & hoped he would heal throughout time.

TODAY

i went to check on him about 10 minutes ago..

i took him out of the enclosure & it's crazy! he can walk, jump & move like normal.

the injured leg now moves normally, it doesn't drag or get overstepped anymore.

thank god!

so, that was my story..

does anyone know if that is normal? do they heal like that?? if so, i never knew that.

also, did anyone have a similar experience? if so, i'd love to hear about it.

I would toss it in the freezer just to be safe, you never know?

Just kidding, it obviously used a Jedi force move or the old LOTR trick "thou shall not pass"... Haha!
