I have a presumably fertile female laying an ooth every other week or so. The ooths are about the size of a dime and about 3/7 of an inch tall. Is this small for this species?

How long do they normally take to hatch? How many normally hatch? Any special requirements beyond the norm?

All normal. Hatched range between 20-60, averaging around 30. Incubation is around 45 days. No special requirements.

I thought that they were small because this species is so similar to the Taus and they're ooths are huge by comparison. Good to know.
I haven't had adult Tau yet but I would guess they lay less frequently and their ooths hatch larger numbers. Different survival strategy from the Oxys which lay more numerous smaller ooths with more frequency and lower yields.
