Hey everyone,

Just wanted to share a few photos of an Oxy ootheca that hatched out last night! Got 35 babies out of this ooth. I wasted no time, and transferred them into a large housing enclosure. Their doing great eating right away as usual ;) .

Enjoy! I know I will :) .

Good Job lol ...
Thanks man :)

Congratulations! I've never heard of nymphs eating right after they hatch...hmm, interesting! All thebest, Andrew
Not right away but within a full day of hatching! Very impressive I find.

Congrats! Wow, they look pretty big already.
These guys are bigger than my L2 Hierodula sp., and Sphodromantis nymphs, however a single ooth doesn't hatch out an average more than 35 nymphs.

I have had an Oxyopsis gracilis ooth hatch as many as 64 nymphs. It was a large ooth and not a first ooth, nor the last one from a female. Dayyan, you might think about separating them into small groups and give them plenty of space. They can be rather carnivorous if they are in close contact. Communally you will loose some. Good job so far!
