Oxys - exposed mandibles & laying ooth (videos)

Adult female Oxyopsis gracilis lost the flap (the labrum) normally concealing the mandibles. She is also missing a portion of one yellow palp. I'm not sure if she was damaged in a fight with one of her sisters or a cricket, but she will still be an active and productive adult.

 
Whoa! The SFX/Music at the beginning of the first video sounds just like Predator's growl, if you've ever seen the movie :blink: (Make sure to watch the first one if you haven't, because the second one sucks). :p

Cool videos and great music! Both of my Oxys laid ooths on the same day. (They aren't fertile since I don't have any males.) I really like this species. They are colorful, friendly and have a healthy appetite for their size.
