For those of u who have jumpers, do they act lethargic/ weird before a molt? cause yesterday mine was running around his container and was very alert. He only ate a couple aphids yesterday, so i figured that he would want to eat more cause the aphids are about half his body length, but he jus ignores it and sits in one spot of the container, not moving. Anyone know why? and if he is molting, anything special i should do? spraying etc?

My jumpers would stay in their "house/bed" thing that they build, and not come out until they molted. Usually, they hide there for a couple of days at least. I spray my spiders' enclosure every other day or so, to give them a chance to drink. I really haven't noticed any other signs other than the hiding, but they are obviously not eating when they hole up like that. I just mist the enclosure and leave them alone to see them emerge as a molted spider.

Has your spider not built a "house/bed" thing?

he has, but hes not using it when he sits there. He just sits in the open.
It will probably go inside the house to molt.

Please update this topic about what happens?

I have just been winging it with my spiders. Fortunately, with good results.

I have no one elses husbandry to compare with.

I just have an unmated female P. regius at the moment. I really need to find the time to go hunting for more spiders. They are so far, much less maintenance than mantids. It wouldn't be much work at all to have a few more. :D

uh i usually find jumpers all over the place. They really like sitting on like man made structures, especially overhangs as I often find them there. I think theyre cool because out of all the types of spiders, they seem the most intelligent and well, cute than say a tarantula or wolf spider, though those are very cool in their own right.
