pair of Idolomantis Diabolica need sexing..need some help

ok can u tell me if i have a pair or not?i know there not very good angles i can get other pics if u need them..do i have male and female?

Same as any other Empusid, abdominal Tergites ( more for the male) and antenna are pectinate in males.

Looking at your pair i would say you have a male and female (if they are the same age) as one of them seems to have pectinations? creeping up the antenna

If you look at the antenna, I would say yes.

First picture is a female and the second a male. ( Correct me if I'm wrong )

i cant warm or cool other mantids with out it being alot of hasstle..my mantid room is housed at 75F...also there both housed toghther so its to much trouble..hopfully it will still be ok

yer but i only have 2..like yen said if he only had 2 from the start he doubts he would have any for breeding.I hoping to god they both shed fine to adult but u know what its like with these,,my fingers are crossed.

i forgot to say all tho i house my room at 75f the idols are in net cage with 2x75watt spot lamps which brings the tant to 90f..

all i can do is try.if i dont succeed at least i wil have alot of good pics .like u said last shed is worst so fingers crossed.
