When i first got first got these 2 types of roach nymphs i thought nothing of it .Little did I know how easy they would be to mix up ):  .i know that surinams have a fuzzy bottom but at times it fades away and i cant see.so can some one tell me any ways to tell these apart?

Thank You

The nymphs of these two genera look similar but there is an easy way to tell them apart when they are large nymphs: Pycnoscelus can climb glass, Panchlora can not. However small Pycnoscelus seem to lack the ability to climb so they have to be large nymphs. Panchlora nivea nymphs are apparently a greenish color underneath, so that's another way to tell the difference.

Sorry, I read that fact in a book, I actually don't have any Panchlora nymphs yet, and the only species of Panchlora I have are Panchlora sp. "White", and the nymphs may look different than that of P.nivea.

panchlora white?where do you live?you could change the hobby
Yup, I put pictures of them on my roach thread here, they are amazing. :)  Idaho, and I doubt that lol, I just got them from Gil Wizen, AKA Wizentrop on the forums, not like I'm the one who imported them or anything.
