my Ghost female laid a light green foamy mass about the size of a corn kernel. she seems to be slowly working on a different one now.

so is there something wrong? should i risk disturbing her by feeding her?

I am really troubled by the tiny ooth if that is what it is.

it was i bit chilly overnight so I have turned on the space heater i point at my mantids to keep em cozy.

Has she been previously mated? Either way she is depositing foam, and possibly a few eggs. This usually happens to females that have not been mated. It's nothing to worry about.

yes, she was mated a week ago (i hope sucessfully). the ooth she is laying is now an inch long or so. maybe she was disturbed on the 1st try?

One of my mantids had this issue. It was a Tenodera which laid 3 of these I think. It had already mated so I believe it had health issues. This could just be because it was disturbed though.

she is done laying an inch long case looks like toothpaste (kinda) and the other before mentioned small corn-kernel sized deposit is about an inch away on a smaller shorter twig. i think she just reconsidered...lol.

now i am second guessing if the male did his job...just paranoid probably, but I have doted over them (and am going to trade my male for some creos next week)
