I'm sorry Perseus died. I hate when it happens. She was very cute according to the photo. You set up the thread nicely, with her photo and the flowers. Mine have died from black death before too. For me, it was because of tap water, which I thought was filtered - turned out it needed to be replaced quite a while ago and the filter was full of muck and who knows what. That's cool that you can bury yours in a cemetary.

Haha mine watch TV too, my mantid Keek would stare at American Dad when it was on lol.

My sympothies for you and her family. She was dearly loved and cared for up to her last breaths. Her death will be further investigated for the prevention for other mantodea.

Nikki is still in a transparent sealed sarcophagus (no joke) in cold storage. When the ground is a little more mailable in a week or two, she will be interred at the Great Cedars Cemetery, between two majestic conifers.

Because of Nikki Mantis's stature in the community, we're allowing the local CBS and NBC affiliates to cover the ceremony. A family member up in New Hampshire is a professional trumpet player. He'll record taps and probably some New Orleans funeral jazz.

Sticky is on a shelf next an orchid where I look at him and talk to him every day. I filled his coffin with lavender flowers and settled him into them.

The flowers keep him in place and they smell good.I think he likes it.
