Personality changes in pregnant females?

It seemed once my Budwing was impregnated she became much more aggressive and the same thing seems to be happening with my fm Blue Flash.Is this common?

The bigger they get, the more aggressive they become. They may have been frightened by a finger when smaller, but now they've got some size, weight, and strong, sharp spikes. It's like they are saying, "Want to mess with me now?" I think they feel more "confident" when full grown.
