Certainly not the grandeur of a T, but who doesn't love common jumping spiders?

Caught this little Phidippus audax this afternoon on the deck glass door. His body length was about 5mm.

It looks like some type of jumping spider, but not sure if the id is correct. The ones I catch in my backyard are black with orange or white spots.

Yes, I don't believe that is a Phidippus species at all ... it's a jumper all right ... but I do not think it is in the Phidippus genus at all, let alone an audax.

Looks like Platycryptus female. But I need to see its face to be sure.

Phidippus audax adult females are all black so for sure it is not a P. audax.Still nice though.

Jumpers are cute lil buggers. Though this is anthropomorphizing -- they come across as having inquisitive "personalities".
