Hello,
Ive been wanting to share these photos I was lucky enough
to get this summer. I was so thrilled to come home & find
my mantis named Swearinger in mid-molt. I watched him
for the next hour & got some great photos. I hope these arent
too large, but I always like larger photos for viewing details.

This view shows skin that is being shed very well:
This view shows the mantids concentration & wing buds:

Final step, climbing into position to break free of skin:
My favorite (so this is a large image)
About 5 minutes after prior photo, I came back to
discover his wings had unfolded already!
The next day, wings are still a bit transparent.
She's all grown up now, I'm so proud of her.
