Just bored so here's some planes named after bugs.
F/A-18 Hornet
Cessna A-37 Dragonfly
Folland Fo.144 Gnat T.1
Edgley EA-7 Optica
Also called the "Humbug" for its appearance and engine sound.
Bumble Bee
Custom Built World's Smallest Plane
I'd get claustrophobia real fast!
It only has a seven foot wingspan. It doesn't need very big wings because of the biplane wing layout. Gives it more lift.
Republic Aviation RC-3 Seabee
de Havilland DH.82 Tiger Moth
Piper L-4 Grasshopper
There's one in Council Bluffs, NE and believe it or not it says "Bugsmasher" on the nose.
Curtiss June Bug
Experimental 1908 Plane
