So yeah the other name for them is Orchid mantis.

Just want you to know that I'm on your side, Bassist. I don't think that the comment that you made to a newcomer to the hobby who asked an honest question was ever intended to be as condescendingly arrogant as it sounds.

 
That is the white gold mantis. They call it that because these days it is made of pure white gold. <_< They used to be cheap not even two years ago.

? I'm confused. I suppose I should have provided some greater detail. I may, or may not have seen this particular species in the past. Maybe it was a lapse of memory. Maybe I'd seen it where it was "pink" not pure white. Anyway, thanks for the info.

 
I say no worries. You had a question and asked it. I'm sure in a few months time I'll be asking you questions about mantids.
