Our Chaco molted to maturity on 3-29-15. He hatched in May 2013 and had a total of 10 molts , the interval between MM and previous molt was 9 months. His legspan at full stretch is 6 1/8 inches.

Awesome!!

How do you know when theyve reached maturity??

Mine is quite young still, male, about 3" leg to leg

With male Ts it's easy they get a hook on their front legs to hold the female's fangs during mating, and the tips of their pedipalps get real fat, like boxing gloves. With females it usually takes a few years to mature.

Oh okay, thanks!

that's a pretty fast maturity isn't it. Maybe mine is a female after all. It is about 4 inches and I was told it was a male but I have had it for almost 3 years and it has only molted twice for me.

Chacos are one of my favorite spiders big, beautiful, docile, hardy and visible, can't get much better than that.

About two years for a male T to mature is normal, their life span is about 5 years, females live for about 15-18 years. Your T is at least 3 years old and 4 inches, I think you might have a female pink zebra beauty they are almost identical to the chaco and are slow growers, about 4-5 years to mature and about 5-6 inches for a full size adult. Just my opinion having not seen your T.
