Ponder (Parasphendale affinis) has reached 14 months old, the equivalent of a 98 year old human. This is quite an age for any mantis. She attributes her longevity to smoking all the grass in her cage whenever possible and a diet of crickets, moths and mouses (the term she uses for mealworms). She also says drink. A lot.
