hello all, my subadult female popa spurca looks very ill right now

She is a bit darker colored, her body is arched down towards the surface she is on, her head is tucked down, and the end of her abdomen is wide open like a female who just mated, though she didnt

Im not sure if she is sick or if the final molt is coming soon, im worried though, her wingbuds r darker and risen a bit, but not that swollen at all

Am I just being overly worried, anyone else seen this in popa?

Thanx

How long has she been looking ill? Is she eating? If she's still eating then you've got nothing to worry about. If she's not eating it sounds like a possible molt to me. My adult female bent her body into some interesting angles during the hours leading up to her molt. I'd just ensure that she's warm and up the humidity a bit.

She looks at my pseudoharpax male in a funny way but she is very fat, I don't think she wants food anymore

Shes been looking ill for 2 days now, but much better yesterday

Im gonna give her some water and see how she does

ok, thanx

i was only worried because the wingbuds r not that swollen

but i realized that females have small wings so i think that is plenty good an explanation :)

i will let you know how she does

I have heard that Sybilla is very difficult to raise. Is that true?

P.S.I think Sybillas look like Phyllovates do you?
