We tend to get the mottled olive and brown-spotted banana slugs in my yard. I've still not seen any that are nearly that yellow. Wow, I can almost see the common ancestor with the octopus! So, that shot is underwater then? Native to BC or not?

I talk about these snails a bit on my blog. They are native to Lake Poso in Sulawesi, Indonesia. I bought them in a local aquarium store and the photo was taken in my aquarium. I've only seen them available locally once before, and they weren't nearly this nice. The cool thing is that they have live birth--producing a perfectly formed little snail. I already have a little one crawling around my tank!
