My Giant African mantis molted today from an L2 or 3 to an L3 or 4.This is my very first mantis and my very first molt. The molt went great but I was wondering if/how long I should wait before offering food again. Should I leave him undisturbed for a day? I know when I had tarantulas they wouldn't eat for several days after a molt, I guess until thier exoskeleton hardened. Thanks.

You have to let their exoskeleton harden, similar to a tarantula i would think. You don't want their mandible to become damaged, I have always waited about 24 hours myself then fed something soft and squishy :)

Offer food after 24 hrs as said but do not worry if he waits a few more days before eating. Some mantids don't eat for another 5 days after a moult.
