My mantid had a big stomach then I saw her!? depositing some cacoon looking thing, Was she knocked up. Pictures will be coming soon.

 
no even females can lay infertile ooths so she may of laid one thats infertile if she was not with any males!

 
Haha unless you saw her getting knocked up, then there's no way of telling. If you've raised her into adulthood (when she got her wings), then there's no way. If this is the case find her a strapping man to sweep her off her feet!

P.S. If she's a Brunneria borealis, disregard everything I said. These mantids are parthenogenic (can reproduce without mating) and look like this:

so can the Acontiothespis multicolor according to some and miomantis can but rarely does it too!
