Pretty beetle

It's finally spring and things are starting to wake up! Here are a few pics of a beetle my daughter found the other day. It's a Buprestis aurulenta also known as a Golden Buprestid. The photos are bad but the beetle is still pretty.

Thanx for the pix, they're great, especially the last one! We get Buprestids flying around in the desert at this time of the year, too.
